During a heated discussion on “The View,” Joy Behar lost it when an important ABC employee told her to get another job on live TV.
Joy Behar isn’t one to back down when she starts talking about politics, and it’s no surprise that she’s heavily invested in the Democratic Party. However, what did come as a surprise is when Behar took aim at ABC’s own political reporter, who wasn’t afraid to put The View cohost in her place.
According to The Sun, it all started when Rick Klein, who is the Political Director at ABC News, made an appearance on The View to discuss the upcoming elections. Co-host Ana Navarro asked for the veteran journalist’s opinion on the midterms after she claimed that Democrats have pulled ahead in the wake of the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

When Klein informed the panel that American voters are most worried about gas prices and basic needs, Behar didn’t like that response. She abruptly interrupted him, saying, “When your reporters say…you tell me [voters] are worried about gas, they’re worried about this…do the reporters follow up and say, ‘Do you think the Republicans will be able to fix these things?’”
Klein tried to answer Behar by saying that his reporters aren’t employed to have arguments with voters, but she interrupted him again and said, “It’s a follow-up question.” Seemingly annoyed, Klein fired back, proposing, “Do you want the job? We’ll send you out there right now.”

“Seriously. You’ve got a permanent invitation from me,” Klein told Behar. Appearing irritated, she decided to make her point perfectly clear. “It’s not an argument it’s a follow-up question,” she said. “How do you think the other party [GOP] will solve these problems? Because they have nothing. I mean nothing.”
Conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin tried to break the tension. “We need to give Joy a cameo on the show,” she said, laughingly. Cohost Sunny Hostin backed up Behar by confronting Klein. “Just ask [voters] what is the Republican agenda and how does that address your concerns?” she declared.
Behar, who turned 80 during this season, claims she has no plans to retire from the show. “I just signed a contract so I’ll be here for a while,” she told People Magazine as she celebrated her birthday. “I have no plans to retire.” Behar went on to gush over the morning talk show, which she was an original panelist on when it premiered back in 1997.
“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” Behar boasted. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most-watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

Conservatives everywhere will certainly be disappointed to see that Behar’s “not going anywhere,” as she regularly enrages them with her liberal take on things. She told TIME earlier this year that she’s a “favorite target over at Breitbart and Fox” because she is a “powerful person” with a platform.
“You have a power when you have that microphone,” Behar said. “People don’t like it. They don’t like it that I’m a powerful person on The View, saying things that they don’t like, but I’m sorry, that is where I’m at. I’m a powerful person on The View; I was a powerful person as a comedian holding a microphone. Too bad.” However, Joy Behar snapping at ABC‘s political reporter on live TV can’t be seen as a winning strategy for the network. It’s one thing to blast guests over opinions they hold, but it’s utterly ridiculous to criticize a reporter like Rob Klein, who was just trying to share facts with the ladies on The View.
